Software Engineer with LIMS and database expertise

Creating and maintaining custom laboratory information management systems (LIMS) software to track process NGS data
Creating/maintaining/tuning relational database(s) required to support LIMS functionality and other database centric applications
Developing new software/systems to support delivery of sequencing data to internal and external customers

BS/MS/PhD in computer science, software engineering, physical science
3+ year commercial software development
Experience with building LIMS with NGS data
Experienced developer with skills in OOP using Java (preferred) and/or C#
Familiarity with Python or Perl
Strong skills in designing and implementing relational databases (Oracle, MySQL, etc.)
Experience with multiple operating systems, including Linux
Experience with software deployment in cloud highly desirable, especially Amazon AWS experience
Understanding of laboratory processes and workflow systems is a plus.
Strong communicator with ability to maintain open communication with internal employees, managers and customers as needed
Start-up experience is a plus
Experience with next generation sequencing is a plus
NetSuite scripting is a plus
